Introduction
Join us for the ninth edition of the CyberColombia International School series. This year, the program focuses on state-of-the-art topics in High-Performance Computing, AI/ML, and Quantum Computing. The event is designed to provide students, researchers, and professionals from both the private and public sectors with in-depth technical talks and hands-on training. Participants will gain valuable insights and practical skills in the use of high-performance computing (HPC) technologies.
Learning Objectives
- Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of parallel computing, including computer architecture, race conditions, threads and processes, as well as performance metrics.
- Gain familiarity with the basic principles of programming in C/C++, covering syntax, compilation, and tools such as Make and CMake.
- Be introduced to parallel programming using OpenMP and multithreading concepts, aiming to leverage multiple processing cores.
- Become acquainted with distributed programming using MPI, including point-to-point communication and collective operations in distributed memory systems.
- Explore modern tools such as Dask for high-level parallel programming oriented toward large-scale data analysis.
- Gain insight into the applications and use cases of High-Performance Computing, AI/ML, and Quantum Computing.
